Basic HairCare Facts
Fill your diet with a lot of vegetables and foods high in Vitamin A, C, B Complex, Iron, Iodine and Copper. While hair grows on an average of 1/4 inch a month, as you age this process slows down dramatically. Hair does not turn gray with age, it actually loses color due to the lack of new color pigment in each strand of hair. There is no right answer for how often you should wash your hair, this varies for each individual. You will know best when you need to wash your hair. When you shampoo, only use a dab. You will be surprised how far just a little will go. If you have not received the desired amount of lather, add a little more water not shampoo. Using too much shampoo will strip natural oils from your hair and contribute to breakage and flyaways. Never rub wet hair, massage the products into your hair. You can actually activate sabaceous glands, causing more oil to be released. Always blot hair dry, never rub.
