Why are a portion of the populations of South Korea, China and Vietnamese eating our pet dogs and cats ?

This is so sad…cats held by their neck and dropped in boiling water. Dogs and cats are kept in small cages without water, dogs go insane trying to get out of these cages, strangled with wire, other dogs are shown hanging and beaten eventually to death as a way to get the adrenaline going before they are slaughtered, this is so wrong… 2.6 million a year in South Korea alone are killed and beaten in ways one wouldn't kill a worst enemy, all because of greed and ignorance. These greedy dog and cat farmers lie and make others believe that eating dog or cat meat have benifits such as sexual vitality and other false illness healing qualities. This is simply not true. The fact is, eating a dog, for example, is like eating human flesh. Dog meat has very similar protein structures as the human. There are laws against this and brutality to animals in South Korea, however the government does nothing or very little to uphold these laws. The Chinese government doesn’t seem to care. Unless we make it a point to let the world know about the treatment of these beautiful animals that have been trusted for thousands of years as companions, the suffering will continue. Would you eat your friend, pet dog or cat , this is so wrong. This is not part of any culture or starvation. This is PURE GREED, IGNORANCE and SELFISHNESS. Please Read on...

The trend is growing in South Korea and South East Asia, and it is up to us to help stop it. We have listed these organizations below including www.ifaw.org, to help expose this horror so that we can find ways to stop it. Please contact everyone you know on the net, in your office, family. This is the only way we can help the caring South Korean organizations stop the slaughter and greed of these Dog and Cat farms. It is a GREEDY senseless, unhealthy trend that must stop now.

They have just received a grant from IFAW.org and are in the process of building a state of the art sanctuary to help animals, dogs and cats in South Korea and South East Asia.

Hi! I stumbled on this site by accident tonight and have already joined the mailing list as I am very impressed with your product selection and prices. However, I am MOST IMPRESSED with your stand against animal cruelty. As an avid animal lover and activist, I am appalled at some of the legal practices both here and in other countries, the slaughter of baby seals in Canada, Korea's dog beatings, our very own horrific elephant training....It never ceases to amaze me, the number of educated people that are totally unaware of these activities. Perhaps it's not considered worthy "news" by some but it certainly is to me. THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping spread the word on this website. I only wish it was on the homepage and larger.
